The Alto Cachapoal Valley is located on the Cachapoal river basin, where there are coastal strips and the Andes mountains. The climate is hot and dry with temperature differences between day and night. This place becomes a great land for growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Carmenere grapes.

The grape growing season in Cachapoal is long, making it longer for the grapes to ripen on the vine. This helps create evenly ripened, concentrated, well-rounded grapes without increasing the acidity level in the grapes.

Production process

Chilean Rios wine with Gran Reserva classification is produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety. Carefully selected from 20 year old vines. The freshest grapes are picked directly by hand and will be put into production through a careful selection process.

The perfect combination of Chilean production methods combined with the French Bordeaux winemaking process. The above  helped create an appealing flavor.

The wine is aged for 14 months in new oak barrels then bottled. And continue to brew until the specified time in the wine cellar is reached before supplying it to the market.

Rios Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon has a dark red color. Aromas of ripe black grapes, black cherries, black pepper, roasted beans, dark chocolate. Intense flavor with smooth and ripe tannins, long elegant finish.
