Casas del Toqui SA was founded in 1994 by Château Larose Trintaudon – a major French wine producer from the Bordeaux region in cooperation with traditional wine producers from the Totihue region in Chile and together they founded Casas del Toqui aims to develop and produce fine, high-quality wines, marketed both domestically and internationally.

Production process

Kayen Icon Wine is made from typical Chilean grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon 55%, Carmenere 22%, Petit Verdot 15% and Syrah 5%. Each grape variety is grown on different gardens and must have the best grapes from vines that are 20 years old or more. Then mix in a certain ratio to form a bottle of Kayen wine.

With this class of wine, the aging time in oak barrels is at least 24 months and 6 months in the bottle.

Smell

Kayen has a deep garnet red color with purple undertones. The seductive, ecstatic aroma typical of ripe red fruits such as blackberries, blueberries, raspberries along with olive and cedar scents create an unforgettable impression. Carrying the complex flavors of four grape varieties, Kayen has a strong, round, rich flavor of ripe fruit, beeswax taste and a rich, supple aftertaste.
