The wine production brand Vina La Rosa is one of the oldest brands, with many years of experience and very famous in Chile.

Founded by the Ossa family in 1824 from the purchase of land owned by the first President of Chile. To this day, it has always received the trust of customers around the world with many prestigious awards.

Today, the sixth generation of the family, now headed by Ismael Ossa , continues the legacy of the founders. He turned Vina La Rosa into a world-class producer of delicious wines.

Vina La Rosa owns 3 main vineyards with 864 hectares in Cachapoal valley with a special vineyard located in Chile’s national nature reserve where the soil is fertile.

Vina La Rosa produces different types of wine from popular wines to the highest quality (Icon wine), 95% of production is exported to more than 40 countries around the world.

Production process

Ossa wine is a tribute from the 6th generation of the Ossa family to its founder. The wine is blended from the grape varieties Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. This is the enthusiasm of the young generation to explore and create perfect bottles of wine.

Icon Wine is Chile’s highest-ranking wine that not every producer can make. The best grapes are carefully selected from nutrient-rich gardens, from vines over 30 years old, which are the raw materials to produce this wine.

The wine is aged for 36 months in French oak barrels and 2 years in bottle before being released for sale.

OSSA – 2008 was voted the best Icon Wine in Chile in the largest competition in South America in Santiago in 2016.

Smell

Ossa has a deep red color, a strong, delicate and extremely seductive scent. The round, rich taste combines with the sweetness of raisins, raspberries, and the bitterness of coffee and chocolate.

Suitable for red meat dishes, steak, grilled lamb… Better when refrigerated at a temperature of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.
