The wine production brand Vina La Rosa is one of the oldest brands, with many years of experience and very famous in Chile. Founded by the Ossa family in 1824 from the purchase of land owned by the first President of Chile. To this day, it has always received the trust of customers around the world with many prestigious awards.

Today, the sixth generation of the family, now headed by Ismael Ossa , continues the legacy of the founders. He turned Vina La Rosa into a world-class producer of delicious wines. Vina La Rosa owns 3 main vineyards with 864 hectares in Cachapoal valley with a special vineyard located in Chile’s national nature reserve where the soil is fertile.

Vina La Rosa produces different types of wine from popular wines to the highest quality (Icon wine), 95% of production is exported to more than 40 countries around the world.

Production process

La Capitana is one of the red wine bottles produced by this famous brand and is currently always on the list of Chile’s best-selling wine bottles.

Elegantly designed with an elegant style, La Capitana fully demonstrates the qualities of a bottle of Chilean wine – a bottle of New World wine.

From harvest to release, La Capitana is carried out in extremely careful steps, requiring high meticulousness from the winemaking workers.

After harvest, La Capitana is aged for 6 months in  new oak barrels, 6 months in old oak barrels creating a passionate, dominant and complex aroma. Only when the fermentation process is complete can the wine be bottled, labeled and consumed.

Smell

Although the whole of this wine is a harmony of many layers of rich fruit flavors, when you take the first sip of wine you will immediately feel the intense sweet scent of some ripe tropical fruits. Outstanding berries such as plums, cherries, mocha… are revealed in the palate.

Right after the burst of scent, there is a delicate deposition in the back of the throat with a smooth aftertaste of spices, mint, cinnamon and a little chocolate aroma that makes the drinker extremely excited.

La Capitana is very suitable for use at family reunions, friends on weekends or meetings because this wine will taste delicious when combined with some dishes such as grilled lamb chops, Grilled red meat or Angus beef dish.

It tastes better when refrigerated at a temperature of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.
